CRISP & CO SOLICITORS

Crisp & Co was established in 1996 by Henry & Michele Crisp to provide specialist legal advice in matrimonial and family law to our clients.

Since then, our firm has expanded to locations across London, Bath, Bristol and Manchester.

Our expert solicitors are able to advise in all aspects of family law including divorce and dissolution of civil partnerships, and their allied financial issues, separation of couples who have been living together, pre and post-nuptial agreements, and all aspects of the breakdown of relationships involving children.

It is the aim of our firm to provide our clients with a first-class and bespoke service guiding them through the emotional and legal complexities of separation and other related issues. We strive to provide our clients with a secure outcome that is right for them and their families.

As well as the traditional legal advice and representation in Court, we have solicitors who have training in collaborative law and mediation. These are alternative methods of dealing with the breakdown of family relationships based on a less confrontational approach with the objective of achieving a harmonious outcome. We will also soon be able to help with a no-fault divorce. A new law is being introduced in April 2022 which will allow couples to get a divorce, civil partnership dissolution, or legal separation without having to blame each other and rely on one of the ‘five facts’ to prove the irretrievable breakdown of the relationship. We are aware that legal fees are an unwelcome but inevitable consequence of family breakdown, and pride ourselves on offering the best expertise at the most competitive and reasonable price. Furthermore, we endeavour to provide our clients with accurate cost estimates and time frames from the outset and throughout our involvement in their matters. For those clients who have a need to limit costs to a certain sum, we also offer a ‘pay as you go’ service, whereby work is limited to a certain cost limit.

Laker Legal Solicitors was formed in 2011 as the Directors recognized that the legal sector was changing rapidly and that traditional high-street legal firms needed to adapt.

In order to continue providing high-quality legal services whilst at the same time adopting a much more affordable and speedy level of service for clients, we invested heavily in technology and adopted a hybrid model of working whereby our staff could work from home and also work in the central office.

In 2012 we were awarded the Law Society`s Accredited Lexcel, Quality Mark, for our high standards of client care and practice management and we have achieved successful re-accreditation year after year since. In 2019 the firm obtain obtained its CQS accreditation for conveyancing and this too is awarded year after year.

Our way of working is proving very successful and we now have a truly 21st Century Solicitors Practice with a nationwide client base, covering a wide spectrum of legal services for individuals and businesses.
