Family Law has always been of great interest to me. Growing up in an extended family (aiga) setting in Samoa, ensuring that children’s voices are heard and making a positive impact on the community is the reason I pursued such a career.
This passion was developed through my studies at Auckland University, graduating in Law (LLB) and with a Bachelor Arts (BA), majoring in Maori (language, culture, and history), Child Psychology and Political studies.
Following tertiary studies, I spent 2 years employed as the lawyer for the Ministry for Children, Oranga Tamariki in the Whangarei office. I then worked approximately 8 years employed with Wills Westenra Lawyers Ltd, dealing primarily with Family Court proceedings in respect to Domestic Violence, the Care of Children, Adoption, Human Assisted Reproductive Technology, Protection of Personal Property matters, Mental Health, and proceedings involving Oranga Tamariki.
In September 2016, I became a Sole Practitioner, – continuing to work upon my passion as a family court lawyer in the above areas of law as well as taking on instructions with respect to Relationship Property matters and Wills. I receive appointments as Lawyer for Child from the Family Court and am an accredited mediator.
I am listed as a legal aid provider.
Providing a professional, warm, and friendly client focused service is what I value. I am particularly passionate about the work related to lawyer for child appointments, ensuring that the best outcome is made for the child.CONTACT – FIDOW LAW LIMITED

I have a passion for helping others, in particular the disabled community and the elderly, but I want to ensure that anyone who needs access to justice, gets the help they need, despite the circumstances they find themselves in.
A lot of times people find themselves in awful situations through no fault of their own – they deserve compassion (not judgment), good legal expertise and someone who will follow through and deliver results.
Like many Northlanders, I have faced considerable adversity in my life. At birth I had a significant disability (Nail Patella Syndrome). My disability meant that with no kneecaps, no cartilage, and no quadricep muscles – the medical professionals did not believe I would ever walk – they recommended amputation of both my legs.CONTACT – MCGOLDRICK LAW
